Moody Lee & Esther LeeChairman
Mr. Lee was born in 1946 and Mrs. Lee in 1947 in Gyungju, Korea. They’ve known each other since 1953 and got married in 1971. Their sons and daughters are all happily married and they along with their children are currently serving the church in California, US. Since 1981, his family started a tough immigrants’ life and got to know God through his testing and training. Mr. Lee was ordained in 1985, set-up two churches and served there for 18years. Mr. and Mrs. Lee founded Weihai Zhongshi Foreign School (formerly known as Zhongshi Korean International School) in 2000 under the vision of “From China to the World”. By providing English, Korean, computer, and music classes to Chinese youths, they had 1500 graduates, who are now delivering the message of God all around the world. Upon accreditation by the Chinese department of Education in 2006, ZKIS made huge development as a school of the Lord. Mr. and Mrs. Lee always pray that the school glorifies God while many disciples of God serve the world under the vision of “From China to the World.

Mr. Sumeg-ang earned his Master’s degree in Education, specialising in Educational Administration, from one of the premier universities in the Philippines. He completed his bachelor’s degree in agricultural extension at the prestigious University of the Philippines Los Baños.

He began his career teaching for two years at a Christian high school in the Philippines before transitioning to a role as a researcher for an organisation of Christian Schools where he authored a book published under the organisation’s auspices.

In 2004, Mr. Sumeg-ang relocated to China and taught at Guanghua School in Hefei for two years. Subsequently, in 2006, he joined Joy Language Schools, where he served as an academic supervisor. In 2012, he joined WZFS, where he has been an integral part of the leadership team.

A committed lifelong learner, Mr. Sumeg-ang has earned certificates in Personal Entrepreneurial Development and Professional Teaching, as well as a Diploma in Language and Literacy Education from the University of the Philippines.

Arsenio Sumeg-angPrincipal

Mrs. Tobias is a teacher from Mexico. She has a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and she is a licensed TESOL teacher. She is also an IB certified teacher with 13 years of experience in the Primary Years Program and 2 years in the Middle Years Program. She obtained a diploma in Bilingual Education and participated, over a period of 8 years, in a constructivist educational approach training program (Red Solare International). She has been been working at Zhongshi for 11 years, 10 of which as the Head of Primary. Her main responsibilities are hiring, supervision and support of faculty, overseeing 1st to 5th grades curriculum, providing pastoral care to primary students, leading communication efforts with parents, administrative staff, members of the operation committee and the community at large. It is also her duty to organize all curricular and extra-curricular events for primary, inside and outside our campus (field trips, competitions, cultural presentations, Bible and summer camp, etc.), and teaching PSHE, Social Studies, Chapel and Reading support groups.

Xochitl TobiasVice-Principal (Primary)

Mr. Kim is currently working as Vice-Principal at WZFS. He is a respected University Admissions counsellor with 10 years of experience. He is a leading authority on school promotion and admission briefing. He was a former South Korea Officer who served for four years and was discharged as a Captain. After that, he worked for Samsung Cheil Agency for five years. He is a Chinese expert who grew up and studied in China. He holds a B.A and M.A degree in International Education from Peking University. He is currently studying for his Ph.D. in pedagogy from Peking University.

Andy KimVice-Principal (Planning and Development)

Mr. Song was born in Yi Lan county Hei Longjiang province on 2nd April 1964. He worked in the local area as a primary school teacher since 1985. He became the principal of this school in 1990, and worked there until 2005. Starting from 2006, he joined Weihai Zhongshi Foreign School (WZFS) as Director of the Management Department.

Mr. Keating Kim majored in Mechanical Engineering at a university in South Korea. He served in the military for two years and graduated in 2007. After obtaining his degree, he worked at a shipyard for a year, specializing in engine and propeller installation. In 2008, he worked for a Korean company in Weihai, China, for a year and since 2009, he has worked at WZFS. Initially, he worked in the planning department, focusing on computer and network management, audio equipment maintenance, and event-related tasks. For the past two years, he has been working as the head of the administration department. Mr. Kim met his wife at WZFS, and they have two sons. His wife currently works at a kindergarten.

Keating KimDirector of Administration

Dr. Gong graduated with BA, MA, and PHD degree in Education, major in Christian Education in Korea. He taught for 10 years in Korea SaRangbang Community School as international education director. Also he was the 1st graduating class of Foreign Language School in Weihai. After he finished his PHD degree in 2021 and came back to at his alma mater as a teacher. He is Let it Shine director and teaching PSHE.

Alan GongDirector of Let It Shine Committee

Mr. Wang was born in 1978. He attended Shandong Forestry College where he finished a degree in Economic Forestry. Mr. Wang also has the following qualifications: International Chinese Language Teacher – Advanced; Examination Management Qualification Certificate – Level A, and Family Education Mentor – Advanced. He joined Zhongshi in 2012 as the Director of the Foreign Language Institute (FLI), providing consultations for students applying to Chinese universities and managing HSK, HSKK, BCT, and YCT external examinations. He also teachers Chinese classes in the upper school.
